Nigeria-China Business Council was established by the organizers of the 1st Nigeria-China Trade and Investment Forum, after a successful hosting of the maiden edition in Abuja, essentially designed to champion, sustain and deepen trade and investment relationship between Nigeria and China. The event was organized by Chinese Business Community in Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
In the past, the organization has organized successful events that attached high level of participation locally and internationally.

2. 1st Nigeria-China Trade and Investment Forum Abuja, 2009.
3. 2nd Nigeria-China Trade and Investment Forum Xian City, China, 2009.
We are also envisaging that the July 2010 event which centered on foods, agricultural equipment and products will attract participation from states and Federal Ministries of Agriculture, Government Agencies, Hospitality, Industry e.t.c.

BACKGROUND
The emergence of The committee of Friends and Associates of Chinese Business Community in Nigeria was borne out of the keen observation of emerging world economic trends. It was considered pertinent to make Nigerians aware and conscious of the tremendous economic and technological transformation, taking place in China I order to be positioned in such a way as to benefit from these transformations. China through its reform and open policy has indeed transformed its economy hence current world economic indicators portray China as the largest and perhaps the fastest growing market in the African continent and from available statistics; China is presently positioned as Nigeria's most valuable trading partner.
OBJECTIVES OF NCBC
The aims of the Associations amongst others are as follows:-
1. To harmonize the potentials of both countries in their national and global contexts with a view to creating greater measures of awareness among citizens and associates of both countries about the merits of a strong bilateral relationship between Nigerians and Chinese.
2. To create awareness among members and the citizens of both countries on the variety of opportunities presented by the potentials of the respective countries.
3. To initiate ideas towards the development of a healthy China-Nigeria relationship.
4. To complement the efforts of the government of both countries in ensuring peaceful co-existence, relationship, honesty and sincerity and love, which constitute the bedrock o this relationship for the realization of the goals and aspirations of the nationals of the two countries to do business in a conducive business environment.
5. Matchmaking arrangement between Nigerian businessmen and their Chinese counterparts.
6. Access and exposures to process technology and equipment from China to the Nigerian Investors.
PROGRAMME OF PAST EVENTS
The Association had carried out certain activities like the familiarization tour of some Chinese Companies by His Excellency, Dr. Ibrahim Mantu, the Deputy Senate President; Presentation of some agricultural equipment and Motor cycles to the Government of Plateau State. A Reception and an Award for Excellency under the auspices of the Association was organized in 2003, for the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Wang Yongqiu and the Senate President, His Excellency. Chief Adolphus Wabara respectively.
In liaison with the Nigeria Investment Promotion Council and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN) in the presidency, a select delegation of Nigerian Businessmen and investors attended an investment forum in Shangai and Xaimen in China in2004.
3. Our Association initiated the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese Company for the assembly and eventual manufacture of Motor Cycles in Lagos State.
4. On the 15th of December 2005, a delegation of the Association which included the National Co-ordinator, Hon. Chief Matthew Uwaekwe, by the National Chairman, Chief Jacob C.K. Wood represented by his wife Chief (Mrs.) Ami Wood and eventual manufacture of Motor Cycles in Lagos State.
